Your Turn to Plan for a Girls’ Night Out?

If you are considering going on a girls’ night out, the first examples that pop into your head will probably be the common ones. I know I always think of going to a movie or a bar. What if you are in charge of making the plans for your next outing? Will you choose the same old tired activities? What if you could come up with a better idea?

First of all, anyone who has not tried a little karaoke at a girls’ night out should give it a whirl. There is even a theater production called “Girls’ Night Out: The Musical.” It is currently playing Off-Broadway in New York and other locations. It is all about 5 friends in their 40’s who go out to a karaoke bar for a night out. I have not seen the show, but I hear it is a lot of fun and everyone in the audience really gets into it.

There are a lot of other ideas for girls’ night out, though. Just use your imagination to dream up new ways to spend an evening with your best friends. Everyone could choose a secret identity and all through the night, act the part. Then, everyone could try to guess who the other friends are pretending to be. Even after the identities are revealed the fun can go on.

Another idea is to rent a limousine and go for a ride. If you feel this is expensive, split the cost between your friends. When you each pay your portion, you will find that it is much more affordable. Bring along some snacks and wine to make the occasion more inviting.

In fact, you could buy a special bottle of wine, such as Marilyn Merlot. Then, present each of your friends with her own bottle of the wine to bring home.
